Miles of Gratitude - The Sunset Tradition

Miles of Gratitude: Every Sunset Counts When Time Is Short

In our work, it is personal.

At ClaimBuyout, we often meet people on a day they didn’t expect to have. Behind every damaged vehicle is a person with somewhere to go, someone who depends on them, or something in their life that matters far more than the vehicle itself.

For one customer, it was sunsets with his wife.

During her battle with cancer, the couple had created a simple tradition: getting in their Corvette and driving together to watch the sunset. It became something they looked forward to each day, a quiet moment they could share together.

Then a collision damaged their Corvette.

Facing the possibility of months waiting for backordered parts and repairs, he shared something with our customer service team that we haven’t forgotten: he didn’t know how many more sunsets they would have together.

Waiting months for his Corvette to be repaired simply wasn’t time he wanted to lose.

His insurance adjuster had told him about ClaimBuyout and the option to sell his repairable vehicle rather than move forward with the repair process. Within days, he had his ClaimBuyout Offer, sold the damaged Corvette and was able to purchase another vehicle.

And most importantly, they got back to their sunsets.

They didn’t miss a single one.

There are times when a vehicle decision is about dollars. For this customer, it was about something far more valuable: time.

Stories like this are why we created Miles of Gratitude. They remind us that while our role may be a small one, what happens after a claim can have a very real impact on someone's life.

We’re grateful that ClaimBuyout could help this couple get back on the road and back to what mattered most: more sunsets together.

From the Miles of Gratitude Vault: We're revisiting some of the customer stories that have stayed with us over the years. Because behind every vehicle is a person, and behind every claim is a story.
